Fengshui Forever

The method

How does Fengshui Forever work?

Choose someone you'd like to understand better. Fengshui Forever compares Western signs and Chinese zodiac details in a reading for two, then shows which parts went into it.

Start with two birth dates

Give each person a name and birth date. That's enough to find Western Sun signs and Chinese zodiac years and compare those parts of the charts.

Birth time and birthplace are optional. A birth time can add Moon and Chinese birth-hour detail; birthplace together with time can add Rising signs. The reading tells you what it used and what it left out. More detail can move the result in either direction.

Your first reading?

Ask each other what feels familiar or surprising. You can disagree with the reading and still have a useful conversation.

What the two lenses contribute

Western signs come from the birth details you give. On the Chinese side, the app looks at the zodiac year, its element and relationships between year branches. When the available details support an exact headline, the app shows a 0–100 result. Otherwise the browser reading shows a question-mark result while still showing the comparisons it could make.

An exact score sums up this chart comparison under the app's rules. It is not a probability of love or a measure of character, and it cannot tell you how someone feels or whether a relationship should begin or end. See how to read an exact or uncertain result.

Your score depends on the two charts and the details entered; a general zodiac pairing cannot stand in for it. If you add birth details later, the app has more to compare. A score change does not mean your relationship changed.

The Dragon and Rooster example shows how one Chinese year-branch relation contributes to a reading.

Which Chinese year boundary does it use?

For the everyday zodiac animal, the app turns to a new year at Lunar New Year. A January or early-February birthday may belong to the previous year's animal. Some traditional year-pillar readings use Lichun, or Beginning of Spring, instead. The two conventions can disagree for a birthday between those dates, and the app points out the gap.

The app's Western and Chinese comparison is narrower than a full BaZi interpretation or a practitioner consultation. See what happens with a 2024 birthday near the boundary. The Hong Kong Observatory explains the calendar and spring boundaries.

Your details and your choices

The free browser reading runs in your browser. You don't need an account, and your circle stays in that browser; switching domains or devices won't move it automatically. Sharing, backup and longer paid reports use different data flows. Read the privacy policy before using those features or entering another person's details.
