Two traditions
How do Western and Chinese signs fit together in a reading?
Fengshui Forever shows a Western view and a Chinese view of the same pair. You can start with birth dates, even if you've just met and don't know each other's birth times.
What you can see from birth dates
The Western view compares your Sun signs and how those signs relate. The Chinese view compares your zodiac-year branches and birth-year elements. The reading shows the available comparisons from both views.
Take Sam, born April 15, 1984, and Lee, born August 15, 1990. From their dates, the app finds an Aries Sun and Rat year for Sam, and a Leo Sun and Horse year for Lee. Their Sun signs form a trine, while their Chinese year branches form a Clash (六冲). The reading keeps both visible. A clash describes a traditional chart relation; it doesn't say Sam and Lee will argue.
A question for the two of you
Which part sounds familiar when you spend time together? Is there a part that surprises you? Try comparing both with what you know from your time together.
If you know more than the dates
With birth times for both people, the app can add Chinese birth-hour branches. Moon signs also need usable time zones, and Rising signs need birthplaces. You can leave those fields blank and still get a date-only reading.
Adding just one person's birth time does not complete a two-person Moon or birth-hour comparison. When new details are available for both, the result can move either way. The reading shows what it used and what it left out.
What a match can tell you
When the app shows an exact number, it summarizes the available chart parts under its scoring rules. With incomplete inputs, the browser reading may instead show a question-mark result. Neither display can tell you what another person feels or whether a relationship should begin or end. Read what the result means.
The Rat and Horse Clash example takes a closer look at Sam and Lee's year branches. The Dragon and Rooster example shows a different relation. Birthdays near Lunar New Year need care; see how the app finds an animal by birthday. For the scoring rules and their limits, read how a reading works.
Example note: Sam and Lee are a synthetic, date-only pair checked against the app's Sun and year-branch rules. The example shows two facets, not their full result. Fengshui Forever chooses its own weights; a practitioner may use other details and methods.
